Tandem flight in the Netherlands

Flying is a dream of many! Thanks to the paragliding sport, this oldest wish of mankind has become reality. For those who want to experience such a thing without any preparation or specific training Paragliding Holland offers the opportunity to make a duo-flight (a tandem flight) with an experienced and competent instructor. After just a few steps the winch cable pulls you into the air and your flight starts. Around 200 to 300 meters you disconnect and you can fly around as freely as a bird. The duration of your flight is mainly determined by the presence or absence of thermals (rising air) and can vary from a few minutes to half an hour, unfortunately we do not control that. Either way we guarantee you an unforgettable experience !!

Do you want to give a special present?
If you want to give someone a tandem flight as a present, you can order a tandem flight gift voucher in our webshop. Payment is very easy via iDeal. The price of the voucher includes shipping costs.

Organizational announcements:

  • Our delivery terms apply to our tandem flights
  • Paragliding Holland flies every weekend and almost all public holidays, weather permitting. In the period from 1 April to the end of October we fly both weekend days and regularly also a weekday in Houten. In the period from 1 November to the end of February we fly both weekend days and regularly also a weekday in Terlet.
  • Whether or not we can fly you can always read on our vliegverwachtingen. On Monday evening we announce our plans on Vliegverwachtingen: we look at the weather forecasts for that week and then choose, for example, one weekday that we want to fly. On the day itself you have to look again at Vliegverwachtingen to see if we will actually fly that day (dewpends on the weather). On Mondays we never fly.
  • From 1 April to 31 October, it is necessary to prebook a tandem flight for the weekends via our online reservation system. For weekdays you can make a booking from Monday onwards once we announce our flying plans at Vliegverwachtingen. There will be a link in the message through which you can make your booking. So be sure to check vliegverwachtingen for which weekday we plan to fly!
  • From 1 November to 28 February you can book a tandemflight from Monday evening onwards once we announce our flying plans at vliegverwachtingen. During this period we only fly when the weather is really nice. Just check on Monday evening what our flying plans are and click on the link in the message to make a booking for your tandem flight. Of course, always check vliegverwachtingen on the day itself to see if we can actually fly!!
  • The location of your tandem flight depends on the month of the year, our capacity and local weather forecasts. In principle we fly from 1 April to 31 October on Saturdays and Sundays in Houten and often one more weekday in Houten. From November 1 to April 1, our field at Houten is usually too wet and we fly both weekend days and sometimes during the week in Terlet. The final location is always announced at vliegverwachtingen!
  • In addition to the cost of a tandem flight, every tandem passenger has to pay a cash contribution of € 3 for the farmer whose land we are using.
  • We would like to point out that only cash payment is possible at the towing field.
  • On the day of your flight you can check our website at 8.30 hrs at vliegverwachtingen (top right of the website) whether it is flyable, where we fly and from what time you are welcome. You will also find directions to the different locations there.

Tandem voucher almost expired? If you have a SurpriseFactory voucher that will expire soon, you can send it to us by post. Towing fields of Paragliding Holland

Towing field Houten

Our towing field in Houten is centrally located in the Netherlands and in the midst of beautifull agricultural fields and river landscape. The view from the air across the fields and the river Lek is stunning!! The towing field is around 1km long, which means that your flight will be quite high. The relatively dry surface of the land can give us with some good thermals during spring and summer time.

Towing field Terlet

In the period of 1 November until the end of February we fly on the beautifull and huge airstrip op Terlet. This field is generally used for towing sail planes and offers us various towing fields varying in lengths from 1000 - 1400 meters. Which field we use depends on the wind directions and will be clearly marked at the entrance. The view from the air is beautifull and there is a restaurant right next to one of the air strips.
